Auction activity is picking up. Cedar County tops the market this week at $19,000/acre. Harvest is rapidly approaching.

Auction activity is starting to pick up. Butler County topped the market this week at $17,300/acre. I’ve witnessed grain bins getting emptied for new crops and new grain bins being assembled. Harvest is coming fast!

Dallas County rang the bell this week with some transitional land selling at $25,100/acre, $24,100/acre, and $22,700/acre. Auction season is here - over the next 30 days, there are over 15,000 acres on deck to be auctioned.

Auction activity is picking up with two sales in Plymouth County - $20,400/acre and $20,100/acre. The USDA August report shocked the corn market with record yield, 188 bushels/acre, and 2 million more acres of corn.

There was not enough auction activity to test the market this week. We had more rain over the weekend, with dryer weather in the forecast. If you have time, go check out the great Iowa State Fair!

Osceola County comes in at $16,100/acre. The State Fair starts this week. Hope to see you there!

There was not enough activity to test the market this week. Linn County had a strong sale at $17,700/acre.

We’ve been fortunate to receive rain heading into mid-July, and crops are looking good overall. Auction volume is expected to pick up in August.

Not much is happening this week due to the 4^th of July holiday. Corn is beginning to pollinate, and weather has been favorable.

Greene County had a strong sale at $15,550/acre. I’m hearing of some good rain falls around the state and crops look really good going into July.

Activity picked up a bit this week but not enough to test the market. Osceola County topped the week at $15,900/acre.

It was another slow week with not enough auction activity to test the market. I was in South Central and Southwest Iowa over the weekend and crops look very good.

There is still not enough activity to test the market. I saw good stands of corn and soybeans in NW Iowa this weekend. The 2025 crop appears to be getting a good start.

We are still in the slowest time of the year for land auctions when there is not enough activity to test the market.

This is the slowest time of the year for land auctions – there were only four this week. Good weather is here and I expect planting will be wrapping up quickly.
