Calhoun County rings the bell this week with a sale at $14,200/acre. Auction activity starts ramping up in August. Plenty of fungicide applications are happening in the countryside.

Carroll County tops the market this week with a sale at $16,900/acre. There’s a lot of heat in the forecast which is not good during corn pollination.

There were only four land auctions this week, which was not enough activity to test the market. The Iowa State Fair is one month away.

Due to the fourth of July holiday, there is not enough activity to test the market. Heavy rain fell across Central Iowa with some areas getting north of 10” in a short time.

It was a short week for land auctions due to Memorial Day. Clinton County tops the market with a sale at $14,600/acre. There’s not much rain in the extended forecast. I’m hearing of some replant around. The crop year is getting a good start.
