Sioux County rings the bell this week with a sale at $26,250/acre. Johnson County takes honorable mention with a strictly ag land sale at $20,000/acre, likely a new price record for land purchased to raise corn/soybeans.

Lyon County tops the market this week with a sale at $22,000/acre. Several sale barns were touting record high prices for feeder cattle.

Happy New Year! Fremont County finishes 2025 strong with a sale at $13,500/acre. There are over 6,000 acres coming to auction in January.

Due to the Christmas holidays, there’s only one auction to report and Sioux County brings it again with a sale at $28,000/acre.

Black Hawk County rings the bell this week with a $20,238/acre sale (including 5% buyer fee). Crops are disappearing fast. It’s amazing how fast harvest happens with good weather.

Calhoun County tops the market this week with a sale at $15,600/acre. Auction activity slows during October for harvest, but November is go-time for land auctions.

Mitchell County took top honors this week with a sale at $16,600/acre. Hearing some yield data this week and so far, I have not heard anyone say yields are better than last year.

Plymouth County topped the market this week at $18,000/acre. Harvest is starting.

Mitchell County had a bell ringing sale at $24,400/acre. There were several strong sales this week. Fields are starting to open for harvest.
