Surveys published by various organizations have a time lag and can quickly become outdated. There was not enough activity to test the market this week. The extended forecast indicates there will be a good run of weather. I imagine a lot of planting will get done.
Land Auction Volumes Soar in Iowa
Auction volume jumped significantly in April - the second highest since 2018. Volatility in the stock market has helped move higher-quality tracts of land. Brent Barnett and I discuss this and more on Brownfield Ag News.

Monona County tops the market with a sale at $14,000/acre. Looking forward into March, auction activity is slowing down. Market conditions are very stable; I’ve seen decent prices with very few “no sales” in the first two months of 2025.
