Kathy is an experienced real estate appraiser specializing in the valuation of ag-related land types.

Prior to joining Iowa Appraisal in 2022, Kathy worked with Hertz Appraisal Services. She brings over a decade of experience in land appraisals.

A southwest Iowa native, Kathy grew up on a small farm in Cass County, giving her an appreciation for agriculture and land ownership.

Kathy is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with the State of Iowa, and an Iowa licensed real estate salesperson. She is a practicing affiliate of the Appraisal Institute, a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), including the Iowa Chapter, and has earned ASFMRA’s Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) designation. Kathy graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Management Information Systems.

In her free time, Kathy enjoys kayaking, gardening, quilting, and is learning to play the piano. Her favorite place to hike and camp is in Colorado. Six grandchildren keep her busy, as well!
