Surveys published by various organizations have a time lag and can quickly become outdated. We’ve been fortunate to receive rain heading into mid-July, and crops are looking good overall. Auction volume is expected to pick up in August.

Not much is happening this week due to the 4th of July holiday. Corn is beginning to pollinate, and weather has been favorable.

Greene County had a strong sale at $15,550/acre. I’m hearing of some good rain falls around the state and crops look really good going into July.

Activity picked up a bit this week but not enough to test the market. Osceola County topped the week at $15,900/acre.

It was another slow week with not enough auction activity to test the market. I was in South Central and Southwest Iowa over the weekend and crops look very good.

There is still not enough activity to test the market. I saw good stands of corn and soybeans in NW Iowa this weekend. The 2025 crop appears to be getting a good start.

Land Auction Volumes Soar in Iowa
