Ida County tops the market this week with a sale at $20,500/acre. It was a busy week for land auctions in Iowa and surrounding states, with strong prices in South Dakota - $18,200/acre; Minnesota - $17,000/acre; Illinois - $20,150/acre; and Missouri - $20,100/acre. Robust land prices are not just an Iowa thing. Ag news is comparing the current ag economy to the 1980’s era. While there are some similarities, currently auction results are indicating a stable market with participants using some caution.
