Iowa Land Auction Prices, October 8-14, 2022

Farmland in the fall

Plymouth County takes top honors this week with a sale at $26,250/acre, breaking the last state record of $26,000/acre set in Sioux County on August 31, 2022. It is the highest sale I know of in the state of Iowa not influenced by development or income from a wind turbine. There are now two farms in Iowa’s $26,000/acre club. Honorable mention goes to Pocahontas County with a sale at $14,400/acre. There are many land auctions booked for the next 60 days, so more records could be set before the end of the year.
