Iowa Land Auction Prices, July 23-29, 2022

O’Brien County, for three weeks in a row, takes top honors with a sale at $23,500/acre. Honorable mention goes to Story County with a sale at $20,000/acre. Lots of heat in the extended forecast. I think everyone wishes Iowa could get a good amount of rain all across the state. August determines soybean yields. The rule of thumb I always use is for every inch of rain in August, add three bushels per acre to the soybean yield.
I just posted my monthly newsletter for July. You can see it here: https://bit.ly/3bp3ElS
