Iowa Land Auction Prices, June 18-24, 2022

Plymouth County takes top honors this week with 160 acres at $21,700/acre. Jones County gets honorable mention with 79 acres selling at a whopping $20,200/acre, and tillable CSR2- 57.7 equating to $364/tillable CSR2 point. Measuring this sale on $/CSR2 point is stunning. Per the auctioneer, the improvements on the tract had minimal contributory value and the buyer was local. Market conditions are still going up. There are a lot of auctions on the books this week with great opportunities to purchase good quality pedigreed land. As I have said in the past, the best time to buy a farm is when it is for sale, and you only pay for a good farm once.
“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
