Iowa Land Auction Prices, April 16-22, 2022

It was a short week for auctions. Story County topped the market at $14,700/acre. Harrison County gets honorable mention with a pasture tract at $9,950/acre. This tract will likely be converted to crop production. It is time for planters to be clicking out seeds of corn and soybeans though the extended forecast is not looking very promising. Commodity markets are hitting historical highs, and I expect more fireworks to come.
Farm Journal magazine editor and AgDay TV host Clinton Griffiths graciously invited me to join a panel of experts for his April 21 webinar titled, “Factors That Will Drive Farm Spending in 2022.” A lot of good information was shared so if you missed it I highly recommend watching the recording: https://www.farmjournal.com/farm-country-updates/
