Iowa Land Auction Prices, January 1-7, 2022

Posted on January 10, 2022 at 10:47 AM by Jim Rothermich

There are only three auctions to report this week. Mahaska County takes top honors with two farms in the Des Moines River Bottom.

My annual auction data research went out this past Friday. The data indicates market conditions went up 36.5% in 2021. The statewide average dollars per tillable CSR2 point is $157. Note the green line for November and December on the following graph . Both months had unprecedented number of acres going to auction. I anticipate there will be fewer auctions in 2022 than in 2021. Get ready for higher market conditions in 2022.
