Iowa Land Auction Prices, November 6-12, 2021

It was a very busy week for land auctions and prices did not disappoint. Strong prices keep coming out of Sioux County and other northwest Iowa counties. For two weeks in a row, Sioux County takes top honors with $21,200/acre on 11/9 and $20,200/acre on 11/12. Additional sales came in at $19,100/acre and $19,000/acre. Honorable mention goes to O’Brien County with a sale at $19,100/acre. This sale included a wind turbine.
This coming week there will be 9,000 acres going to auction. Almost 18,000 acres have been auctioned this month, which the market has absorbed. It appears market conditions are still moving up but not as aggressive as earlier in the year. There are quality farms coming to the market.
“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
