Iowa Land Auction Prices, September 11-17, 2021

Posted on September 20, 2021 at 9:56 AM by Jim Rothermich

Washington County, Iowa’s #1 pork producing county, takes top honors this week with 80 acres selling at $16,800/acre. Very few farms come up for sale in Washington County and when one does, competition among buyers is fierce. Hog production and the economic activity that surrounds producing pork is very positive to land values and top prices are the norm. Hancock County gets honorable mention with 236 acres going for $15,600/acre. Auction activity will be very active this fall and opportunities for buyers will be like never before. Buyers will have options. Good quality farms are coming to the market.

“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
