Iowa Land Auction Prices, August 28-September 3, 2021

Posted on September 6, 2021 at 12:08 PM by Jim Rothermich

Wright County topped the market this week at $15,000/acre with honorable mention to Kossuth County with a $14,300/acre sale. Harvest is coming. As I drive around Iowa, there are a lot of soybeans turning. Corn is losing its green color and ears are starting to drop. Hurricane Ida did a good job disrupting grain movements on the lower Mississippi River. There are numerous export terminals in Louisiana that have no power and have severe damage. This is not good right before harvest. Hopefully, they will be able to get the grain movement back up and running in the next couple of weeks. This is a developing story. Land auctions cometh. September will be a busy month.

“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
