Iowa Land Auction Prices, January 8-14, 2021

Posted on January 18, 2021 at 9:30 AM by Jim Rothermich

Auction activity will be slower than normal the next 30 days. A very limited supply of land is coming to the market. The big news this week is the USDA Supply and Demand Report released on Tuesday, January 12 indicating extremely tight supplies of corn and soybeans and no decrease in demand. Corn and soybean prices rallied from the news. The last time corn and soybean prices were this high was in 2014. That’s very good news for Iowa farmers. As prices for commodities go higher, land prices will likely follow.

“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
