Iowa Land Auction Prices, April 3-9, 2020
Posted on April 13, 2020 at 10:08 AM by Jim Rothermich
It was another active week before planting season, with 2,274 acres auctioned of which 2,087 acres were tillable. I am hearing from farm auctioneers that they are struggling to get farms sold. One auctioneer stated the market is off 5%, and another sited 10-15%. As can be seen below, several farms sold at $100/tillable CSR2 point and higher. It appears there are farms that sold well and not all areas of Iowa are seeing softness.
I was inspecting farms this week and saw numerous NH3 applicators out in the field. I also saw a couple of corn planters.
Have a safe week.
