Iowa Land Auction Prices, January 10-16, 2020

Posted on January 20, 2020 at 9:26 AM by Jim Rothermich

It was an active week with 2,278 acres being auctioned, of which 2,058 were tillable. Prices were very strong with several farms selling at $10,000/acre and higher. There was exciting news in agriculture this week. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) was ratified by the U.S. Senate and the Phase One Trade Agreement with China was signed. If China holds up their part of the deal, the amount of agricultural products being exported from the U.S. to China could nearly double. Both trade agreements took a long time to complete but it appears progress is happening.

“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
