Iowa Land Auction Prices, February 1-7, 2019

Posted on February 11, 2019 at 10:40 AM by Jim Rothermich

More acres were auctioned this week compared to last week at 3,551, of which 2,790 were tillable.    The Iowa land market appears to be steady.

If a well-known, former U.S. president owned farmland many years ago, would that fact add value to the land?  This will be decided on February 12 in Charleston, IL.  There will be 590 acres auctioned in Coles County, where a 30 acre tract was owned by Abraham Lincoln!  If you would like more information on this land auction, go to: www.stanfieldauction.com.  You can read an article about this upcoming auction published by the Herald & Review newspaper here: http://bit.ly/2URa27x

“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!” Please check back next week to see what the Iowa land market is doing.
