Iowa Land Auction Prices, October 5-11, 2018
Posted on October 15, 2018 at 9:29 AM by Jim Rothermich
Auction activity was pretty slow this week with 1,177 acres being offered, of which 913 acres were tillable. Heavy rainfall in Iowa has pretty much stopped harvest. Very little crop is out in areas. Hopefully sunshine will prevail and farmers can start getting the crop into the grain bin. I have had a couple of realtors ask me if late harvest will have an effect on the land market. My answer is it could, if grain comes out of the field in poor quality and if harvest keeps getting delayed.
“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!” Please check back next week to see what the Iowa land market is doing.
