Iowa Land Auction Prices, August 10-16, 2018

There was not much auction activity this week with 559 acres being offered, of which 503 were tillable. There were two “no sales.” Not enough land was sold to test the market. The “no sales” we are seeing may indicate some weakness. Auction activity will pick up and be fairly active in the month of September, right before harvest. The realtors I visit with say they expect land auctions will continue to be very active after harvest, mostly with farm estate auctions.
