Iowa Land Auction Prices, August 3-9, 2018

There was not much auction activity this week with 1,536 acres being offered, of which 1,175 were tillable. There was one “no sale.” We may be seeing a little weakness in a couple of the sales shown below. I heard from two different realtors this week that the only bidders were investor buyers and local farmers did not bid. I think there is some uncertainty in areas as to crop yields. We will see if this continues as harvest gets closer and more farms come on the market. Auction activity will pick up before harvest.
