Iowa Land Auction Prices, June 8-14, 2018

It was a fairly active week for land auctions with 2,124 acres offered. Of those acres, 1,679 were tillable. Several farms sold north of $9,000/acre. There were a couple of sale prices I would consider as a little “light” but for the most part the land market continues to be very stable. Grain markets are fairly volatile because of recent trade tariff news. So far, land prices are not reflecting negative news about retaliating tariffs on U.S. commodities.
