Iowa Land Auction Prices, November 24-30, 2017

Greetings! Fewer acres of land were auctioned this week as compared to last. 2,467 acres of land were offered, of which 2,055 acres were tillable. All farms sold with no “no sales.” For the most part all farms sold very well. Here are the highlights:

  • 137 acres sold in Louisa County- offered in two tracts:
    • 96 acres- $4,600/acre- 56 tillable acres- CSR2- 74
    • 41 acres- $7,075/acre- 30 tillable acres- CSR2- 77
  • 178 acres sold in Pottawattamie County- $4,100/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 55 (Missouri River Bottom)
  • 240 acres sold in Osceola County- $6,200/acre- 225 tillable acres- CSR2- 57
  • 156 acres sold in Ida County- $7,100/acre- 150 tillable acres- CSR2- 69
  • 156 acres sold in Calhoun County- $6,000/acre- 142 tillable acres- CSR2- 63
  • 160 acres sold in Cerro Gordo County- $10,200/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 93
  • 66 acres sold in Muscatine County- offered in two tracts:
    • 37 acres- $7,000/acre- 33 tillable acres- CSR2- 84
    • 29 acres- $7,000/acre- 25 tillable acres- CSR2- 80
  • 70 acres sold in Kossuth County- $5,200/acre- 53 tillable acres- CSR2- 81
  • 487 acres sold in Adams County- offered in four tracts:        
    • 112 acres- $4,200/acre- 76 tillable acres- CSR2- 78 (North Nodaway River Bottom)
    • 112 acres- $4,200/acre- 73 tillable acres- CSR2- 54
    • 79 acres- $3,300/acre- 65 tillable acres- CSR2- 51
    • 184 acres- $4,050/acre- 53 tillable acres- CSR2- 45
  • 237 acres sold in Montgomery County- offered in two tracts:
    • 100 acres- $7,500/acre- 92 tillable acres- CSR2- 78
    • 137 acres- $5,250/acre- 107 tillable acres- CSR2- 69
  • 225 acre sold in Cedar County- $8,950/acre- 200 tillable acres- CSR2- 81 (includes farmstead)
  • 355 acres sold in Plymouth County- offered in two tracts:
    • 141 acres- $7,850/acre- 132 tillable acres- CSR2- 57
    • 214 acres- $7,550/acre- 205 tillable acres- CSR2- 58
