Iowa Land Auction Prices, November 3-9, 2017

Greetings! Many more acres of land were auctioned this week as compared to last. 5,253 acres of land were offered, of which 4,239 acres were tillable. Two “no sales” this week. The realtor with the no sale in Chickasaw County was pretty sure the sale would be negotiated. This farm had a couple of hog finishers. The land market continues to be very strong. The market continues to be very strong. As I call around and visit with realtors, the optimism is very high out in rural Iowa. I think higher than expected yields have land buyers feeling very good at land auctions and are translating into some good land prices.
