Iowa Land Auction Prices, August 25-31, 2017

Greetings! More acres of land were auctioned this week as compared to last. 1,355 acres of land were offered, of which 1,200 acres were tillable. All farms sold. The market still appears to be strong. Here are the highlights:

237 acres sold in Crawford County- offered in two tracts:

194 acres sold in Keokuk County- offered in four tracts;
- 10 acres- $8,700/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 84
- 63 acres- $7,350/acre- 56 tillable acres- CSR2- 80
- 3 acres- improved with dwelling- $110,000
- 118 acres- $4,900/acre- 89 tillable acres- CSR2- 61 (balance pasture)

160 acres sold in Butler County- offered in two tracts:

Land auction activity is beginning to pick up. Several realtors have said they have booked estate auctions that will be happening soon. Dry weather and low crop prices are still a concern but no realtor has told me it has resulted in lower land prices. Not yet anyway.
