Iowa Land Auction Prices, June 23-29, 2017

Greetings!  Fewer acres of land were offered at auction this week compared to last week’s results.  943 acres were auctioned, of which 673 acres were tillable.  All farms sold.  The market is very strong.  A couple of pasture sales this week indicate pasture prices are strong.  Here are the highlights:

  • 212 acres sold in Page County- offered in three tracts:
    • 137 acres- $6,056/acre- 134 tillable acres- CSR2- 66
    • 37 acres- $6,000/acre- all tillable acres- CSR2- 68
    • 38 acres- $5,600/acre- all tillable acres- CSR2- 60
  • 18 acres sold in Des Moines County- offered in two tracts:
    • 8 acres- $18,500/acre- all tillable (Development)
    • 10 acres- $16,000/acre- all tillable (Development)
  • 18 acres sold in Jasper County- offered in two tracts- purchased as a unit- $10,250/acre- 9 tillable acres with balance pasture CSR2- 86.  (Improved with horse riding facility)
  • 49 acres sold in Hardin County- offered in two tracts- purchased as a unit- $5,000/acre- 20 tillable acres- CSR2- 71 (non-tillable acres- pasture/Apple Orchard)
  • 193 acres sold in Wayne County- offered in two tracts:
    • 75 acres- $3,800/acre- 66 tillable acres- CSR2- 43
    • 118 acres- $3,050/acre- 97 tillable acres- CSR2- 48
  • 74 acres sold in Montgomery County- offered in two tracts:
    • 36 acres- $4,950/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 56
    • 38 acres- $8,300/acre- 37 tillable acres- CSR2- 81
  • 193 acres sold in Taylor County- offered in two tracts:
    • 122 acres- $3,900/acre- all pasture
    • 81 acres- $3,000/acre- all pasture
  • 149 acres sold in Black Hawk County- offered in two tracts:
    • 73 acres- $9,500/acre- 72 tillable acres- CSR2- 90
    • 76 acres- $8,500/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 90
  • 37 acres sold in Washington County- $9,150/acre- 33 tillable acres- CSR2- 83
