Iowa Land Auction Prices, June 16-22, 2017

Greetings! More acres of land were offered at auction this week compared to last week’s results. 1,245 acres were auctioned, of which 1,149 acres were tillable. All farms sold. The market is very strong. Here are the highlights:

386 acres sold in Clinton & Scott County- offered in four tracts

10 acres sold in Union County- $9,600/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 84.0
197 acres sold in Madison County- offered in two tracts:
- 80 acres- $11,700/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 96.0
- 117 acres- $5,600/acre- 100 tillable acres- CSR2- 71.0
57 acres sold in Jasper County- $7,900/acre- 56 tillable acres- CSR2- 78.0
151 acres sold in Chickasaw County- $8,900/acre- 142 tillable acres- CSR2- 88.0
153 acres sold in Franklin County- $6,250/acre- 145 tillable acres- CSR2- 71.0
38 acres sold in Calhoun County- $9,200/acre- all tillable- CSR2- 77.0
253 acres sold in Jasper & Poweshiek County- offered in two tracts:

Another week of very strong prices. We have not seen a no sale in a while. If you are thinking of selling in the short term, let the market work for you, and get your farm on the market with a good farm realtor who has the capability to auction land. This is a sellers’ market.
