Iowa Land Auction Prices, April 28- May 4, 2017
Posted on May 8, 2017 at 9:00 AM by Jim Rothermich
Greetings! Significantly fewer acres of land were offered at auction this week compared to last week’s results. 319 acres were auctioned, of which 268 were tillable. All farms sold. Here are the highlights:
- 196 acres sold in Plymouth County- $11,500/acre- 177 tillable acres- CSR2- 76.0
- 123 acres sold in Mills County- offered in 2 tracts:
- 37 acres- $8,225/acre- 36 tillable acres- CSR2- 84.0 (Missouri River Bottom)
- 86 acres- $5,025/acre- 55 tillable acres- CSR2- 60.0 (Missouri River Bottom)
There is minimal activity currently with land auctions. Very few auctions are scheduled within the next 30 days. Demand for land is very strong. Low supply for sale and strong demand to buy should equate to good prices on upcoming auctions.
“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!” Please check back next week to see what the Iowa land market is doing.
