Iowa Land Auction Prices, April 7-April 13, 2017

Posted on 04/17/2017 at 10:00 AM by Jim Rothermich

Greetings!  Significantly fewer acres of land were offered at auction this week compared to last week’s results.  211 acres were auctioned, of which 160 were tillable.  All farms sold.  I would describe the land market as very stable.  Here are the highlights:

  • 41 acres sold in Keokuk County- $4,100/acre- 31 tillable acres- CSR2- 49.0
  • 30 acres sold in Monona County- $3,700/acre- Recreational Tract
  • 140 acres sold in Benton County- $9,000/acre- 129 tillable acres- CSR2- 85.0

Very low supply of land is currently for sale.  There are very few land auctions coming in the next 30 days.

“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”  Please check back next week to see what the Iowa land market is doing.
